About

Stage. Studio.
State capitol. Service.

After 20+ years as an independent recording artist — with 10,000+ performances and 130+ recordings to my name — I've spent the last several years channeling the power of music, and the relationships built around it, into service, advocacy, and building organizations that matter.

I'm the Executive Director and founder of Songs of Survivors, a Baton Rouge–based nonprofit built on a simple belief: where words fail, music heals. Through six-hour songwriting workshops, our musician facilitators help veterans turn their hardest stories into original songs — professionally recorded, theirs to keep. To date we've served 300+ veterans and produced 30+ original songs.

As a recording artist with DSR Entertainment, I've written alongside legends like Randy Owen of Alabama and Nashville hitmaker Dan Tyler and many more, produced commercial jingles for regional and national campaigns, and managed every dimension of an independent music business — from publishing and distribution to touring, merchandising, and live production.

Through DSR Solutions, my registered government relations and lobbying firm, I represent select clients before Louisiana state and local government — drawing on two decades of cross-sector relationships across business, nonprofit, cultural, and community lines to help organizations navigate the public sector and have their voices heard where it counts.

I also serve as a Founding Partner and Executive Director of the Louisiana Arborist Association, the state's nonprofit trade association advancing the arboriculture industry through education, advocacy, and professional standards.

In 2023 I was honored with the Roddy Richard Life Achievement Award from the Louisiana Youth Seminar, recognizing individuals whose work has lessened the burden of others.

Whether on stage, in the studio, in the halls of government, or building organizations from the ground up, I'm driven by the same thing: turning lived experience into something that helps someone else.

Built a career on my own terms
now I help others do the same.
